Itd be sods law to get one of the stupid counter intuitive, disconcertingly vague questions with very similar answers that all mean the same thing but only one of them is corect for no discernable reason. I bought the official dsa book and learnt that- theres really a huge amount I didnt know or didnt know Id be expected to know and have been driving for nearly 20 years. seriously, dont under-estimate the s t they want you to know. I've tried a cople of the dsa website theories and the only ones i got wrong out of a couple of tests were the first aid questions !!! also be advised that there could be many, many, many questions on trams, bike maintenance (less obvious than you think too), environmental health, and other stuff frankly that you didnt know you needed to know. the theory seems mainly common sense with the odd road sign. Ta, Im tempted to just book one and go and see what happens. FWIW your experience of the CBT was exactly the same as mine and reading your thoughts really helped me a lot, as Im sure it did many others here. My advice: get the video thingy, but learn to be frugal (its very hard as if your a good driver youll see many more hazards way faster than they deem them to be so and only have a half second window in which to score from 5-0) and practice the multiple choice bits here: Though I must admit i panicked when i got zero, really didnt help at all. you have bags more time than you do in the practice vids do so you can relax a bit more. That said, the real deal is also much slower than the vids, which is undoubtedly good and all the clips are contrived, so if you see somebody with the potential to do something stupid they almost certainly will do something stupid. my estimation is that if you get halfway across the screen with flags, your probably going to get that stupid over-zealous 'you have behaved unacceptably' message. Yes, but again be advised, that the total number of clicks allowed AND the frequency of clicks is much lower on the real deal.
